This game is a simple card game version of Rock Paper Sissors, with the rock and the paper and the sissors all changed into their thematic replacements! Theres no strategy, just luck. The scores are shown on the left, and to play, all you need to do is flip over your cards, pick, and pray! (Game only uses the mouse)

This game doesn't add a new verb to bfod's array game, but rather focuses on the JUICE.  Everything changed was done to increase interactivity to the maximum. Juice, as I'd define it, is the amount of reactivity a game has to input. How reactive is revealing a card? What happens between game-states? Things I did to facilitate this were forcing the player to have to flip the cards first before being able to choose them. This extra step allows for the satisfaction of revealing that card in junction with the new animation, rather than the original where they flip automatically. This big reveal is made even 'juicier' with the new art, each card having a seperate spawn in animation next to their idle. Even with these great additions, after critically looking at my project with my definition of juice in mind, I can very much see some shortcomings. Two things I should have immedietly added were something to indicate that clicking was required by having a click do something even if the mouse is not over anything interactible; Hearthstone is a very good example of this, where a little dust cloud appears on the table if you click it.  Another would have been attack animations for the evaluation stage of the game, giving even more reaction to the player choosing their card against the opponent.  Furthermore, the sound the cards make when the deck reshuffles is just awful.

I've gotten a lot of criticism against the static effect I lay over the game, but I kept it as personal preference. Some people probably hate it, and thats fine.

Some other thematic additions would have been nice as well, changing the background or even adding a dealer. Furthermore, if I were to add a verb, it would most likely be a simple betting mechanic, (with souls as the currency because of course). I'd previously made a scratch game of blackjack with a betting mechanic, where I take the inputted number and convert it into in-game chips that you can play around with. This would have been a wonderful addition if time allowed.
